Fertilize Your Lawn
- Clear your lawn of any debris and dead grass using a lawn rake and some biodegradable lawn and leaf bags.
- Use the correct settings for your type and model of spreader. Refer to the bag of fertilizer for the appropriate dispense rate and ll the spreader hopper. Spread around the border of your lawn first using caution around flower beds, then fertilize the rest of the lawn following the instructions from the fertilizer bag.
- Lightly water the fertilizer into the lawn after application for best results. The exception will be fertilizers containing weed control. Weed and Feed fertilizers should be applied to a tall (non- mowed), wet lawn and remain dry for 24-48 hours after. Liquid weed killers should be applied to a dry, tall lawn and remain dry for 24-48 hours after application.
