Traeger® Island Style Sliders
Try out this new take on a classic slider with an island twist.
Ingredients

2-Lb. Ground Beef
-
1 Yellow Onion
-
1 Pineapple
-
¼ Cup Culinary 5280 Happy Ending BBQ Sauce
-
1 Orange Holland Pepper
-
Culinary 5280 Oink or Tiki Tiki Rub to Taste
-
12 Slider Buns
-
6 Slices Gouda
-
1 Bag Slaw Mix
-
Apple Vinaigrette to Taste
-
5280 Culinary High Altitude BBQ Sauce
Instructions
- Heat your Traeger® to 450˚F.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the beef, onion, Happy Ending BBQ Sauce, orange pepper, and Oink or Tiki Tiki Rub.
- Mix well to combine all ingredients and flavors.
- Divide the mixture into 12 balls and hand-patty into slider-sized burgers. Be sure to keep them thicker so they cook more evenly.
- Grill the burgers on the Traeger® to the desired doneness. Season with more Oink or Tiki Tiki seasoning as needed.
- Durning the last 5 minutes of grilling, add the direct pineapple to the top of each burger.
- Mix the slaw with apple vinaigrette and hold.
- Toast buns on hold.
- Cut each slice of cheese into 4 slices, then top each slider with 2 pieces of cheese and allow to melt over pineapple.
- Place sliders on top of the toasted buns, then top each slider with 1 tsbp. of the slaw mix.
- Serve on a platter with High Altitude BBQ Sauce on the side. Sauce is great either drizzled on each slider or as a dunking sauce.
